Million Dollar Quartet Review

So much for my usual Tuesday night at home. Don't get me wrong I love spending time with my husband and daughter, but Tuesday night I spent the night with four guys I had really only read about. I went to see the "Million Dollar Quartet"!

That's right. Me with Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and the great Elvis Presley. I wasn't sure what I was going to see, but what a great surprise. The music those four men made famous was beautifully done by  the broadway actors. Cody Ray Slaughter (Elvis) was seriously the best Elvis impersonator I have ever seen.  I was familiar with most of the songs and I enjoyed it all. The performance level on the stage along with the story being told made me feel like I was back in the 1950's. Listening to the crooners croon and the rockers rock.

I was smiling during the whole show and my favorite part was towards the end when Elvis sang "Hound Dog" and put a scarf around a special lady in the front row.

The energy projected was fantastic. This is a broadway touring musical that I can't imagine anyone wanting to miss. This show will be at the Orpheum now until Sunday.  Schedule for the remaining week isFriday at 8:00 pmSaturday at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm and Sunday at 1:30 pm and 7:00 pm.
